Sure you can buy your own pre-made burgers but you will never get flavour as good as when you make your own. Try our simple recipe for a mouth wateringly tasty burger.
500g Beef mince
1 Onion
50g Breadcrumbs
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp garlic granules
2 tsp Parsley
3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 Burger buns
Lettuce
Cucumber
4 Slices of Cheddar cheese
3 Pickles
1 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tsp Mustard
2 tsp Ketchup
1 tsp Pickle Juice
Dice your onions and finely chop your fresh parsley.
Slice your lettuce, cucumber and 2 of your pickles.
Finally chop your remaining pickle.
Place your beef mince, diced onions, breadcrumbs, worcestershire sauce, parsley, paprika and garlic granules in a bowl.
Season with salt and a crack of pepper and combine with your hands (or a spoon if you don’t like the mess).
Once combined, grab a medium sized handful of the beef mix and roll into a ball, then flatten into a burger shape.
To make your burger sauce combine the mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, diced pickle and a dash of pickle juice from the jar and mix together.
Fry your burgers on a high heat for 5 mins each side adding the sliced cheese to the top of the burger for the last 2 minutes to melt.
Lightly toast your burger buns either in the toaster or by frying them in the pan.
Construct your burger starting with a nice layer of the burger sauce followed by your burger, cheese, some lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and finally some more of the sauce.
Serve with some home cooked chips.
