Indulge in this ultimate steak and pepper sauce recipe. Tender steak paired with a rich, creamy and flavourful pepper sauce.
2 Beef Steaks
200g Mushrooms
1 Onion
3 Garlic cloves
50g Butter
150ml Cream
2 tsp Black pepper
50ml Brandy
2 tbsp Flour
1 tsp Rosemary
2 Medium Potatoes
200g Green Beans/Asparagus/Broccoli
Slice the onion into thin strips, crush the garlic and thinly slice your mushrooms.
Cube the potatoes and coat them in some olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper. Then pop the potatoes in the air fryer for 10 -15 mins or in the oven for 30 mins at 200 degrees celsius.
Heat some butter in a pan and then fry up the onion and garlic in it until nice and soft. Then stir in the black pepper.
Add the flour and mix it through, then stir in the cream a little at a time until you get a creamy sauce consistency. Season the sauce to taste with salt and more pepper if needed. Set this sauce aside to be re-heated when serving.
In a pan of salty water boil your greens (broccoli, green beans or asparagus) for 5 mins.
While your greens are boiling, season your steaks with salt and pepper, then heat some more butter in a griddle pan. When the pan is nice and hot, fry the steaks for 3 mins on each side for a medium rare cook.
When the steaks are ready set them aside to rest for 2 mins. Plate up the rosemary potatoes, greens and then your steaks. Drizzle over your creamy pepper sauce and dig in!
